Why this policy exists

Every LoopGG rental ships a physical disc worth thousands of rupees, and the same copy goes on to the next renter once it’s back. This Damage & Care Policy explains how to look after a disc, what we cover ourselves, and the only situations where a fee comes out of your deposit.

Our promise is simple: you’re only ever charged for the value of the disc itself — never penalties, never markups, never anything beyond the deposit you already placed.

02

Looking after your disc

IN PLAIN ENGLISHKeep it in the sleeve, hold it by the edges, store it away from heat. Normal play wear is completely fine — we expect it.

A few seconds of care keeps your deposit whole:

  • Keep the disc in the supplied sleevewhen it isn’t in your console.
  • Hold it by the edges and centre hole — avoid touching the shiny read side.
  • Store it flat and away from direct sunlight, heat and liquids.
  • If it gets dusty, wipe gently from the centre outward with a soft cloth — never in circles.

Normal play wear is expected and free.Fine surface marks that don’t stop the disc reading are part of a disc’s life and are never charged.

03

How we inspect every disc

IN PLAIN ENGLISHEach returned disc is tested on a real console before it goes back into rotation, so you always receive a working copy — and any damage is logged against the renter it happened with.

When a disc reaches us we test it on a console, grade its surface and log the result against that rental. This is how we make sure you always receive a working copy, and how we keep damage charges fair — a fee is only ever raised against the rental where the damage actually happened.

If a charge is being considered, we capture photos of the discat inspection and keep them on the order, so there’s always evidence behind any deduction.

04

Arrived faulty? That’s on us

IN PLAIN ENGLISHIf a disc won’t read on arrival, tell us within 48 hours — we replace or fully refund it, and you pay nothing.

A disc should work the moment it lands. If it won’t read, skips, or arrives visibly damaged, message us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and a quick photo.

We’ll ship a working replacement or refund you in full — your choice. You are never charged for a disc that arrived faulty. Reporting promptly also means the fault is logged against the previous renter, not you.

05

The fee schedule

IN PLAIN ENGLISHLight scratches that still play: a flat ₹500 buffing fee. Cracked, unreadable or unreturned discs: charged at the remaining MRP. Nothing beyond the disc’s value, ever.

Here is every charge that can apply — there are no others. All fees are deducted from the deposit you already placed at checkout.

The ₹500 buffing feecovers professional resurfacing of a disc that still plays but has picked up scratches deeper than normal wear. A disc that no longer reads, or one that isn’t returned, is charged at its remaining MRP — the same figure you placed as a deposit.

06

Unreadable, lost or not returned

IN PLAIN ENGLISHA disc that can’t be read or isn’t returned is charged at its remaining MRP from your deposit — you’re only ever out the value of the game.

If a returned disc is cracked, gouged beyond repair, or simply never comes back, we charge the remaining MRPof that title from your upfront deposit. Because you paid that amount as a deposit already, there’s nothing extra to pay — no late fees, no penalties, no admin charges.

Think of it as buying the disc you kept. If you later find and return it in working order, we’ll reverse the charge.

07

Case, sleeve & packaging

Please return the disc in the same sleeve it arrived in. A lost or badly damaged case or sleeve — when the disc itself is fine — carries a small ₹150 replacement fee. You don’t need to keep or return the outer courier packaging.

08

How charges are settled

IN PLAIN ENGLISHFees come out of the deposit you already placed — never a fresh charge. Your library shows the exact breakdown before any refund is sent.

You never face a surprise charge. Any fee is deducted from your upfront deposit as part of the normal return-and-refund flow, and the remainder is sent to your UPI ID — usually within minutes of the return being processed.

WORKED EXAMPLE · A SCRATCHED RENTAL
Upfront deposit (full MRP)₹4,999
Daily rental fee × 6 days played− ₹534
Buffing fee (light scratch)− ₹500
Refunded to your UPI₹3,965

The full breakdown — deposit, days played, and any damage fee — is itemised on the rental in your library and on your receipt, so you can always see exactly where every rupee went.

09

Disagree with a charge?

IN PLAIN ENGLISHReply to the charge notification within 7 days. A real person reviews it against the inspection photos — if we got it wrong, we refund the fee, no fuss.

If a damage fee doesn’t feel right, you have 7 days from the charge notification to contest it. Reply to the email or message us with your order number and your side of the story.

A real person — not a bot or a ticket queue — reviews the dispute against the inspection photos we captured. If the charge was wrong or the damage was pre-existing, we refund it in full. We’d always rather keep a renter than win a ₹500 argument.

10

Pre-owned purchases & grading

IN PLAIN ENGLISHPre-owned discs you buy are graded by condition and inspected before dispatch, and come with the standard 7-day return window if they don’t match.

This policy covers rentals. If you buya pre-owned disc, it’s graded by condition (e.g. “Like new”, “Good”) and inspected on a console before it ships. If the disc arrives not matching its grade or won’t read, it falls under your 7-day return window for a full refund or replacement — no damage fees apply to a disc you own.

11
